Sustainable Energy

After months of home improvements and new energy efficient equipment purchases, there is no significant reduction to the electricity bill that the utility company sends monthly. Which embarks the writer into a journey to discover how electric utility companies work and how their prices enslave the ratepayers in an endless cycle of dependency. No external entity controls the way energy providers bill you each month, even the government. Indeed, the utility company is just one middleman from a myriad that inflates the price of the energy before you purchase it.

Last night I cooked my family a delicious pasta dinner using biogas energy. This morning we all had eggs cooked on biogas. I’m not sure what’s for dinner tonight, but I know what will provide the energy for cooking: biogas. And not just any biogas - it’s home biogas, produced in our suburban backyard, and our off grid ranch as part of my ongoing “action research” into sustainable energy practices. I no longer use electricity or propane for our ooking needs - it's all done with Homemade Bio-gas.
