Sarah went to college to learn. She went for the classes and to prove her father wrong about what women could really achieve. But all she’s managed to do so far is mess things up. Without knowing how, she’s ended up with two men after her and no idea about which one she wants to be with. The clock is ticking, and she knows that neither of them will wait forever.

Sarah and Robert got close during their class project, but she hasn’t seen him since. She’s starting to think she’s wasting her time. That is, until she gets a phone call from him saying his father wants to meet her. Robert has never had an easy relationship with his dad, and that isn’t about to change on his father’s deathbed. In his last desperate attempt to control his son, Rob’s father sends Sarah away with the message she will never be welcome in Rob’s life. Will Rob be willing to stand for it, or will he go against his father’s dying wishes so he can be with the girl he loves?

Jennifer was born in 1997, when the consumer society had reached a golden age. She was born in a city that was being built on top of a valley that was a beautiful example of the gifts that Mother Nature presented to us. Jennifer's father had become addicted to heroin, while Jennifer's mother was struggling to make enough money to survive since she worked a retail job that only paid minimum wage.

Faith thought that starting a new school for her senior year was as bad as it was going to get. She thought that making new friends and finishing her exams were going to be her biggest problems, but she was wrong. When she meets smooth talking Sam on her first day, she can tell something isn't right about him. After going to a party and bumping into him again, she finds herself waking up the next morning with no memory of what happened. There is someone who knows what happened, though, but is he willing to tell the truth?
