The average teen is faced with unprecedented exposure to inappropriate viewing, an incredible amount of peer pressure, plus the ‘Get what you want now’ mindset of today. Depending on your age and, whether you are a parent or not, your view on the 'good' technology has provided for the young person may be somewhat agreed upon with caution.

Why would I see the need to write about a horrible “bizarre bullying” experience that I had as a teen in the 1970s, rather than relate all of the glory days I experienced? I think we sometimes forget about how hard it can be for a teen to survive the challenges of growing into adulthood. I believe by sharing one of my own negative life experiences, I can help to demonstrate how serious bullying can be in the lives of teenagers, who are trying to grow up in a tough and sometimes cruel world.

Perhaps nothing strikes greater fear in a parent than the word "Teen". The teenage years can be trying both for parent and child. But this stage of life can also be a beautiful time of discovery and bonding. What a blessing and a privilege to be a part of transitioning your child into the adult God created them to be!
