Wells's classic tale, a time traveler journeys to the distant future and finds the earth a lush Eden, populated by the gentle, pacifistic Eloi. However, he soon sees the dark side of this paradise when his time machine is stolen, trapping him in the future. To recover it, he must confront the Eloi's dreaded cousins and masters of the underworld, the Morlocks. Ralph Cosham's excellent performance of this classic distopian novella was the key in earning it AudioFile's Earphones Award.

Gulliver's Travels is an adventure story (in reality, a misadventure story) involving several voyages of Lemuel Gulliver, a ship's surgeon, who, because of a series of mishaps en route to recognized ports, ends up, instead, on several unknown islands living with people and animals of unusual sizes, behaviors, and philosophies, but who, after each adventure, is somehow able to return to his home in England where he recovers from these unusual experiences and then sets out again on a new voyage.

Moving from a long hot summer in Mississippi to the rivers of London and beyond to a remote tropical desert island, this collection of fictional travel writing contains some of the most famous novels from the 18th and 19th century and includes Bing Crosby’s superb reading of Mark Twain’s classic coming-of-age tale.

"Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and His Wonderful Dog Bulger" by Ingersoll Lockwood is a charming children's book from 1889. The story revolves around the young adventurer, Little Baron Trump, and his faithful companion, Bulger.
