At Captain Chakotay's suggestion, however, she orders the fleet to focus its attention on a unique planet in a binary system where a new element has been discovered.

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, rise from the sea, a war begins that will take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. When we last left our squad at the end of Book 15, Jimmy had helped win the Battle of Creeper Junction by turning into an ender dragon. But, his triumph is short-lived when he learns that Claire has been kidnapped by Entity 303. Will Jimmy be able to reach her before it is too late? Is this the final step in Entity 303’s plan to conquer the world? Are Jimmy and the squad being led into a trap?
