Viking Mystery

This is the fifth summer that Kate Burnett, her older brother Cole, and their father have spent a month riding the horse trails in a different state while their mother drives the horse trailer from one "horse lodge" to the next. The Kickin' Trail Ranch is one of the nicest they've found. The food is great, the location next to the Natchez Trace State Park, and some of the other guests are young and attractive. It seems wonderful until a body is found on the trail.

Did Chinese explorers arrive in the Americas before Christopher Columbus? Renaissance man and adventurer Chase Baker is hot on the trail of this hidden piece of history in the woods of Minnesota, home of the famous Kensington Runestone. The alleged proof is scrawled on a runestone written by Vikings centuries ago. The only problem is it's guarded by a mythical creature called the Wendigo at the bottom of a treacherous place called The Pit, where few have survived.
