My journey in writing this audiobook started when my youngest son, Joshua, was deployed to Iraq. The experiences he shared appeared to show interesting parallels between what was happening with him in Iraq and what I was experiencing myself as a pastor. Joshua’s Operation Iraqi Freedom letters were so detailed, they helped me to compose an analogy of natural war and spiritual war. Near completion, my computer crashed, and my entire manuscript was lost. Disheartened, I put the box up and forgot about it. Seventeen years later, I rediscovered Joshua’s letters!

The second edition of The Unseen War for your soul adds clarity and fulfillment to God's mind, will and intentions. There is one verse of scripture that is very astonishing concerning God's will. Amos 3:7: Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets. This simply says that everything God will do, past, present and future He has gave them to His servants. God's Word is the means in which this has been accomplished.

Rev. Joseph Judson Taylor (1855-1930) was a southern Baptist minister but also a pacifist. At the Southern Baptist Convention's annual meeting in 1917, he offered a peace resolution in opposition to the pro-war wing of his denomination. The resolution was easily defeated by the pro-war members, but he continued to espouse his anti-war views and in 1920 published The God of War.
