Dr. William Lucius Hunter, MD (1850-1915) was a clergyman of the African Methodist-Episcopal Church and a physician who graduated at the University of Buffalo in 1890. In his 1901 book Jesus Christ Had Negro Blood in His Veins, Dr. Hunter researches scripture in order to fight segregation and abuse. He identifies Canaanites as being black and claimed that several important Jewish figures and ancestors of Jesus had children by this group of people. Hunter came to the conclusion that Jesus had black ancestry dating back to Ham, the son of Noah.

Originally written as 13 individual books around 397 CE, Augustine of Hippo's Confessions is one of the most referenced works in the Western literary tradition. Augustine lived from 354-430 CE, and the work is in part an autobiography. But it also tells us much about the period in which he lived. The first nine books draw a compelling narrative of the first 43 years of Augustine's life, which were spent in North Africa and Italy. In the 10th book, Augustine uses these experiences as a meditation on the nature of memory.

The Bible tells us that the end times will be marked with signs: social signs, physical signs, and spiritual signs. Today, many of the signs of the end times are present in our world. However, scientific dating the precise day that Roman armies burned down Herod's Temple in AD 70 reveals that time-based passages accomplished this impossible feat. The oldest known copy of Daniel comes from the Dead Sea Scrolls, which scholars date to 125 BC. The most liberal view thinks that someone wrote Daniel by 165 BC. Another method shows Daniel wrote around 530 BC in Babylon. If true, these unique words foretold of the destruction 600 years into the future.
