Young Adult Dog

Not only is Janine Green but the dog comes into her bedroom every morning and speaks to her. Yes! The dog can speak, but then so can the cat. However this morning the dog doesn't come in. Where is he? What has happened to him? This is the problem for Green Janine to solve. She will hunt for him until she finds him and brings him home. But how to do so is going to be the problem. After one unsuccessful attempt and a run in with the police, her friend Mr Mafista turns up (he does magic but not always very well) and they locate the dog.

In an apartment building in the Lower East Side of New York City, success is reserved for the Puerto Rican locos who are willing to do anything to make a buck. Everyone else remains stagnant, not daring to dream on the boss’ turf. Shortly after her 17th birthday, Yasmin knows that rescuing three pit bulls from a nightmarish life will upset their poor excuse for an owner. However, the teen never imagines saving the dogs will land her on the bad side of the worst people.
