お父様とお母様がお出かけになったある日のこと。兄さん夫婦から「五郎殿へ」と書いた郵便が届きました。鼻を当てかいでみると、中から甘い甘いにおいがしました。
五郎さんはもう夢中になって開いて見ると、それは思った通りお菓子で、ドロップ、ミンツ、キャラメル、チョコレート、ウエファース、ワッフル、ドーナツ、スポンジ、ローリング、ボンボン、そのほかいろいろ、ある事ある事……。一箱ペロリと食べてしまった五郎さんは、そのまま何喰わぬ顔で蒲団にもぐり込んでしまいました。
やがて何だか恐ろしく苦しくなって来ましたので、どうしたのかと眼を開いて見ますと、最前喰べたお菓子連中が、めいめい赤や青や紫や黄色や又は金銀の着物を着て、男や女の役者姿になって大勢いならんでいるのがはっきりと見えました。
夢野久作
日本の小説家、SF作家、探偵小説家、幻想文学作家。1889年（明治22年）1月4日-1936年（昭和11年）3月11日。他の筆名に海若藍平、香倶土三鳥など。現在では、夢久、夢Qなどと呼ばれることもある。福岡県福岡市出身。日本探偵小説三大奇書の一つに数えられる畢生の奇書『ドグラ・マグラ』をはじめ、怪奇色と幻想性の色濃い作風で名高い。またホラー的な作品もある。(c)2017 Pan Rolling
