 『手袋を買いに』は、南吉の死後、1943年（昭和18年）童話集「牛をつないだ椿の木」に収載された児童作品。子狐が手袋を買いに人間の町に行く話で、小学生の教科書に採用されていた人気の高い作品。
新美南吉（にいみ なんきち、愛知県生まれ、1913年 - 1943年）。童話と童謡の児童雑誌『赤い鳥』の作家のひとり。『ごん狐』『手袋を買いに』などが代表作であるが、結核のため29歳の若さで亡くなった。(P) 2011 MBS Literary Fiction World Literature
