 　2014年のサッカーＷ杯、2016年夏季オリンピックの開催国となったブラジル。人口２億人のうち半数の１億人が中間層を占める新興国だ。

　ルーラ前政権下では強い製造業、豊富な資源を背景に年平均４％の高成長を満喫。一人当たりＧＤＰは年８０００ドルを超え、すでに新興国の水準にはとどまっていない。

　ここ数年は経済低迷が伝えられるものの、失業率も５～６％台と低水準で推移しており、雇用や所得は一定の水準を維持している。



　が、ビジネスチャンスの地平線が広がるブラジルの大地に、日本企業の影は薄い。「世界にも類を見ない親日国」とも言われるブラジルに、日本はもっと目を向けるべきではないか。
