About this listen
An all-new, full-cast dramatization of the classic graphic novel.
The isolated town of Barrow, Alaska, is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only Barrow's husband-and-wife sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction. By the time the sun rises, will they pay the ultimate price - or worse?
Complete list of narrators includes Chris Andrew Ciulla, Mark Boyett, Kevin T. Collins, Ellen Archer, Therese Plummer, Lauren Fortgang, Edoardo Ballerini, Scott Aiello, Fred Berman, Gabriel Vaughan, Dion Graham, Emily Bauer, Angelo Di Loreto, Jonathan Todd Ross, Julian Elfer, Allyson Johnson, Jennifer Van Dyck, and Robin Miles.

Faithful to the genre.
Overall, this audiodrama is not as bad as you would suspect. The performance is on point, the story easy to follow and the special effects make you giggle. It is faithful to the genre from where the novel belongs. It is cool to listen while doing some boring chores such as laundry or tidying up.

Engaging! I really loved this one.
I found myself not wanting to stop listening. Voices were great! The only bad thing about it, was that it left me wanting more! In a good way! Recommend!

Unnecessary But Decent
This story is far better experienced in graphic novel form, or through the under appreciated movie. It’s just too visual, and the radio play format doesn’t improve anything or do the material justice. But it’s a breeze to get through at one hour and the sound design is solid.

Graphic novel to audio book
I think they did a good job translating from graphic novel to audio book but not a ‘great’ job. I understand it’s too hard to describe certain things for an audio book but it was difficult to get a visual of what was going on.
But hey, there’s a movie - with Josh Hartnett - yum yum so there’s always that.

Liked it
I did not read the graphic novel but I saw the movie. I loved it. Compared to the movie, the same story presented in this audiobook appeared a bit rushed. I think that 1 hour and 3 minutes was not enough to do this story justice. Otherwise great story and great performance!
