Publisher's Summary

From number one New York Times best-selling author of Melissa de la Cruz comes a love story about missed connections and second chances.

Straitlaced Evelyn and reformed bad boy Marco might make an unlikely pair, but the two lovebirds couldn’t be more head over heels for each other. Sure, they’ve had some missed calls along the way, but all that’s in the past. They’ve got their sights set on forever, and the next stop is a walk down the aisle in front of their friends and family. It’s the big day, and everyone’s gathered to watch Marco and Evelyn say "I do". Everyone except Evelyn that is. Is the bride running late or running? With happily ever after on the line, the surprising answer might just be in their voicemails—too bad they never listen to them.

It's a unique, but effective storytelling.

I enjoyed it, even though I found Evelyn annoying and childish. Also, as the other reviewer said, who is Marco?

Entertaining listen on a Sunday afternoon

I enjoyed the way this story was told. Entertaining and different - while still getting us invested in such a short time.

Different

Ok, first off, who is Marco? Spoiler - there is no Marco. His name is Cam haha.

It was an interesting and different way to get into a story. It's all phone conversations and voicemails so you have to peice a lot together. The story flows well and seems to make sense, the gaps left also make sense if you're filling in the missing parts, also as if you're overhearing someone's story.

Meh

Would have 'read' better as a regular story. The constant replaying of the voice mail message...and the fact that both Seemed to care about the relationship.but couldn't be BOTHERED to listen to their voicemail was rather stupid. Turned it off twice over the days of listening just because the Long messages to eachother..much like being in a counselors chair was painful. I see why it was 'free".

Cute. Different. Short & sweet.

Very PG in that there is no sex at all, despite it being a love story. Told mostly through voicemails that neither of them listen to (i.e. one-way conversation), so it kind of creates an emotional disconnect. But, the story is cute & the voice actors were good.

Great for a short distraction or quick road trip.
