Publisher's Summary

Sarah J. Maas's sexy, richly imagined audio experience continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta.

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly—proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance—and healing—in each other's arms.

Performed by Colleen Delany, Natalie Van Sistine, Jon Vertullo, Aure Nash, Anthony Palmini, Melody Muze, Renee Dorian, Shawn K. Jain, Nora Achrati, Matthew Bassett, Amanda Forstrom, Karenna Foley, Jeri Marshall, Jenna Sharpe, Ryan Haugen, Gabriel Michael, David Jourdan, Julie-Ann Elliott, Rob McFadyen, Rayner Gabriel, Carolyn Kashner, Christopher Graybill, Nhea Durousseau, Ryan Carlo Dalusung, Mike Carnes, and Holly Adams.

Confusing narration

Not like the other dramatized books. Story is great but this dramatized version is not as enjoyable as the others in the series format

Nesta is a beast, the good kind.

My second favourite book behind ACOMAF, I loved that we got the chance to explore more of Nesta's character. There's a lot of hatred towards her which I don't understand. Her trauma and the explanations for her attitude being the way it is are very clearly painted in this story, and we also get to see her take a journey to healing from it that we don't often get to see in major series' like these. Has she hurt people in her quest not to feel anything, not to process her trauma and try to move past it? Yes. Have people also hurt her, assumed the worst of her, and disregarded her safety, opinions, and feelings entirely? Yes, they have, and it's extremely evident in parts of this book. Her whole life has been a give and take from other people, and I'm so proud to see her take back what was stolen from her and move herself towards healing from it all, see her finally obtain the happiness that she's been so desperately chasing after not only for herself, but for her family as well.

10/10, definitely reading this again AND recommending the series to others.

love

unpopular opinion, I've always loved nesta, she has so much character, even though she is so angry, maybe I can kinda relate to the anger issues, making me like her character. I was very excited for her story. and I haven't been disappointed! I'm still waiting on part 2. but the first part was amazing, I'd prefer if each character narrated their own part instead of a third part narrator. but everything else is perfect. great listen.

The ending had be shaking!!

I’ve read this on hard copy, my kindle, and listened via audiobook but this graphic audiobook takes the cake for the best way to enjoy Nesta’s story! Incredible narrators!! Can’t wait for the next part to be available.

CASSIANS VOICE, THE BREATHINESS, THE GROANS

Wow wow wow! This is by far the best they've done on any of these graphic audios, at least from this series! This is eons better than what we got from Rhys and Feyre! Cassian and Nestas voices were cast so well, suited them exactly and everything from her sass, to his masculinity, to their pleasure, their gasps, the little breathy moments in between words, the little noises like steps on the floor, wings wrapping around, leather pants losing space. This was STEAMY, romantic, beautiful, believable, enthralling and moving! Cassians voice is like a gentle caress on my brain. Nestas voice matched his energy perfectly. They deserve Oscar's for this vocal performance! I've listening to this book more times than I can count. Only negative thing I have to say is AZRIELS voice is all wrong and I hope they recast him. Or that he takes lessons from Cassians voice actor!

This is my first review I've ever written

I've probably listened and read more books than I can remember but never have I gotten chills like I have while enjoying this book so much!
