About this listen
Egil and Nix have retired, as they always said they would. No, really - they have! No more sword - and hammer - play for them! But when two recent acquaintances come calling for help, our hapless heroes find themselves up against the might of the entire Thieves Guild. And when kidnapping the leader of the most powerful guild in the land seems like the best course of action, you know you’re in over your head....
A wonderfully fast-paced fantasy adventure in classic swords and sorcery style, from New York Times best-selling author, Paul S. Kemp.

I can't put this book down... I mean ear buds down
There is something about Paul Kemps world and characters that make them enjoyable. At first I thought Paul Kemp can't create his own world with unique characters but figured I owed him a chance after reading his Erevis Cale series based in the Forgotten Realms world which was phenomenal.
The first book of this series was good to introduce the reader to the new world without getting too indepth on how everything works or where everything is located. The second did a great job following suit and introduced some cool characters and organizations (i.e. the guild). In the end Paul delivers a unpredictable story where you don't know how it will end until it does and then it has you wishing for more. Nick does such a great job with the voices of Egil and Nix that I can't imagine anyone else doing them justice.
I will be starting on book 3 shortly and I am hoping the author has another book in the works shortly. Would hate to think this is only a 3 book series.
