Essential reading for Nigerians in the Diaspora
Enlightening start through to finish. I bought this because I wanted to know more about my own history, finding that I knew more about African American leaders than my own heritage. I can best describe the book as a collection of every key Nigerian milestone since the British industrial revolution. No stone was left unturned and every chapter was more rewarding than the next taking you right to modern day. It doesn't have the detail for every single event but definitely sets you up to go and find out more if you want to. In terms of the narration I enjoyed the use of Nigerian and British accents where relevant and the inserts of letters and speeches. I love this, I will now also buy it so others can read it too.
