Conner Bailey thinks his fairy-tale adventures are behind him - until he discovers a mysterious clue left by the famous Brothers Grimm. With help from his classmate Bree and the outlandish Mother Goose, Conner sets off on a mission across Europe to crack a 200-year-old code.
Meanwhile, Alex Bailey is training to become the next Fairy Godmother...but her attempts at granting wishes never go as planned. Will she ever be truly ready to lead the Fairy Council? When all signs point to disaster for the Land of Stories, Conner and Alex must join forces with their friends and enemies to save the day. But nothing can prepare them for the coming battle...or for the secret that will change the twins' lives forever.

Story
Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret - at least, that’s what she thinks.... But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well...she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth....

A great book!
I liked a lot of things about this book! It’s very insightful it was a little sad but I really liked it and I would recommend this book to anybody who wants to make the world a better place. I especially like the part when the fairy godmother defeats the dragon even though she does die but I don’t want to give away too much, and I think Chris Colfer is an excellent author.

Favorite Series
I love The Land of Stories series so far. I'm almost 30, and I think they're fantastic. I was a little disappointed in Colfer's narration of the story at first, but I got used to it, and have already moved on to the next story. I have these books in print, but just never got around to finishing all of them, so I figured why not a better time than now with all the traveling I do to and from work every day.
