About this listen
This letter is the closest that Kafka came to setting down his autobiography. He was driven to write it by his father's opposition to his engagement with Julie Wohryzek. The marriage did not take place; the letter was not delivered.

Weak narration
The content of The Letter to My Father by Kafka is heavy and thought-provoking, but the narration really impacted my experience. While the narrator has a warm voice, it's clear he's not a professional. The recording quality feels like it was done at home rather than in a studio, which made it harder to fully immerse myself in the book. Perhaps with better narration, I would have enjoyed it more.
