About this listen
A Magic Summer tells of that remarkable season by chronicling the major events as viewed twenty years later. Interviews conducted twenty years after with members of the team - Seaver, Ryan, McGraw, and others - provide immediacy and, with that, fascinating updates and insights. This is a unique record and celebration of a season that Mets fans - and all baseball fans - will not soon forget.

A different narrator
The story and the book are great. What takes away from this audiobook is the narrator. Baseball is a niche genre, it would be important for the producers of audible to hire someone with baseball knowledge or someone familiar with the game. The narrator of this book repeatedly pronounces the names of Sandy Koufax, Luis Tiant, Phil Niekro, Leo Durocher, Jerry Grote, etc etc etc wrong. It takes a lot away from this book. Very disappointing
