About this listen
Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!
Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.
The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.
The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.
In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?
In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.
In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.
In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.
Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

Featured Article: The Best Female Narrators You Can Listen To All Day
When considering a new audiobook, one of the biggest questions listeners have is whether they’ll enjoy the narration style. This is understandable as audiobooks span at least a few hours, and sticking with one person’s voice for that period can feel like a big commitment. Luckily, there are so many excellent voice actors performing audiobooks that you might just find yourself gravitating to certain audiobooks based solely on the narrator’s strength.

Possibly the best book I’ve ever read
By all means the mountain top is beautiful, the climb, hard, sometimes even painful. But at the end of it all, the end to the memory. Is the peak of this mountain. And it was beautiful.
For those reading reviews of wether or not to pursue the daunting task of reading these books, take it from a young country man with not much time for books. It is worth it, it is amazing.
It is simply, beautiful.
Thank you to everyone who made this book happen, for it has truly changed me.
Thank you so much.

It certainly was an ending to the wheel of time
This certainly is one of the greater books in the series, connecting and tying together the different stories and plots in a very amazing way.
It was a culmination of years, of sheer will and dedication, as well as love, like the pattern it certainly is beautiful and yet not without faults.
Rands “confrontation” with the dark one felt jarring especially with it being contrasted with the last battle, that could have been reworked a little.
Also Padan fain, went from the dark friend who basically forced the events of the story in the first book, to a new threat and villain in his own right, was added in the last book, almost as an afterthought and had no impact, despite his setup in the earlier books.
And lastly I would like to state that these are my personal preferences, on the ending, and that they are my major criticisms for the last book, I greatly enjoyed it, Matt continues to be the funniest character in the series, slot of heart reaching scenes, a very good sub plot at the black tower.
However my criticism mostly lies with the end, I wouldn’t have minded if we had another 3-4 chapters 45 minutes long dedicated to where everyone went and what is currently happening.
As I find that part, for multiple characters was crammed into a 27 minute chapter that focused on rand.
So many people died, I would like to see people’s reactions, as well as the treaty they signed, the new bonds of friendship and new grudges forming, and also despite it being the last battle. I would have liked to have seen stuff with dark friends.
Overall it was great, in fact one of the best ones, I just feel it needed to be polished up more before they put this one on the shelf.
Side note the narrators did amazing.

What a great way to end such a series!!!
Loved it... what a journey, I had to stick out the initial books, as it takes some time to get drawn in deep. But... once you do it never seems to slow down.

An amazing ending to one of the greatest stories!
I remember originally reading the first 3 books back in Grade 8, my library only had books 1,2,3,5,7. Naturally I stopped at book 4 but have always had a desire to find and finish this fantastic series. Fast forward 15 years and I was trying to get back into reading, however life gets busy and I don't read as much as I used to. Thanks to #Audible1 I have been able to listen to the entire series several times. I go for long walks, bike rides, transit and working out, always listen to my stories now. I have been looking for other stories to get into, i'll listen and ready but always come back to my Audibles of the greatest story ever. On book 10/15 of my third listen! (Counting the prequel)
The ending was absolutely perfect! The range of emotions throughout the final battle, the surprise... Just a masterpiece! I can't wait for the show! I wish my friends were more willing to take on the 420 hour behemoth of The Wheel of Time! Just wow!

Not perfect, but the best you could realistically
Of the three Brando Sando WoT books I think this is the weakest. With such a large epic story, it was always going to be very tough to wrap up. I think Sanderson, did pretty decent considering how much he has to finish. The Last Battle is a long 9 hr chapter, but it's definitely longer in the book, before and after this chapter, some of which was good, some was not. I have some problems as there is a new power wielded by one of the main characters that seemingly comes from nowhere to solve a problem. Knowing how Sanderson usually writes his magic, this was mega disappointing as in my opinion it wasnt foreshadowed enough to explain why this is possible. The ending is also a little confusing, I'm sure if I re-listened to the ending a few more times to make it all straight, but to be honest I'm sick of Kramer & Reading after over 40 hours.
