Publisher's Summary
Jason Andrews, James Ellis, and Joaquin Rodriguez are childhood friends who are as close as brothers despite their various background and unique personalities.
The three friends return to their hometown of Livingston, North Carolina, after graduating from college. James and Joaquin graduate from college to receive their graduate degrees. Their friend Jason is working as an accountant and is engaged to his college sweetheart Amanda Evans. He is overjoyed to be sharing his life with such a wonderful person. However, his joy is short-lived when Amanda is murdered in her apartment.
The new sheriff, Jeffrey Murphy, is determined to prove Jason's guilt since he has no alibi and the murder screams of a crime of passion. However, his friends work to prove his innocence and to track the real killer. Their amateurish exploits raise the sheriff's hackles, find answers to a cold case committed decades ago in another state, and put themselves in the killer's crosshairs. Can these grad students prove their friend is innocent and not put themselves in grave danger?
