Publisher's Summary

In A Royal Duty, Paul Burrell reveals the truth about Princess Diana, as well as a faithful account of her thoughts. He was the favourite footman who formed a unique relationship with the Queen. He was the butler who the Princess of Wales called "my rock" and "the only man I can trust". He was accused of theft, then acquitted following the historic intervention of the monarch. He was the Princess' most intimate confidant - and may be the only person able to separate the myth from the truth of the Diana years.

Wonderful

Loved this book! Thank you Paul Burrell for being there for HRH Princess Diana. Like so many others I loved her and felt so close to her.It was so nice to hear she did love Prince Charles and he her in the early years. After reading Andrew Morton's account I was devastatingly sad about Princess Diana the way they were trying to make her out as a bipolar nut. I feel you on the other hand, saw the innocence and kindness and were more understanding of her.

I came out of this with a warmness in my heart. Thank you for being there for her. I feel the other side always wanted her to take the blame. God
knows the Royals can't look bad.

I feel you were sincere and honest setting the record straight!!! And I believe you and thank you. Although you will probably never hear it
I'm sure the queen has a special place in her heart for you as well.

Regarding Prince Charles and his camp....nothing to say...or it is best I don't say it.
Long live the Queen!

I wish you and your family nothing but happines
and success!

Also thank you for the audible, as my eyesight is not the best, I would never have known the true story.

Very informative from the inside.

Well narrated by its own author which I really appreciate. I like Paul. He was treated rather unfairly by the surrounding powers that were. I found his account very interesting and informative.

Insightful

I thought this was well written and well read. More truth to who Dianna really was and how caring she really was.

yes and no

Overall the story does portray a lot of respect to Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth.
If Paul Burrell stopped there, the book would be 5 star. Even the telling of his own life experiences from a boy up to working for the royal family was an interesting story.
But what he has done now to his wife and family is a total betrayal. The support Maria gave him all through the whole ordeal shows the deepest of love.
If I knew that before I bought the book, I wouldn't have bought it.
There are several other authors that have written about Princess Diana. You may want to look at them first.
