About this listen
A memoir of grief after life-changing loss. A companion to those in the trenches of grief. A journey to authentic integration, peace, and hope.
Crushed by the weight of life-changing loss, how do we find the strength to carry unbearable grief with peace? This is an audiobook that will pierce your heart and leave you changed. It is a journey from debilitating grief to a new depth of healing and hope.
With raw authenticity, Brianne Edwards shares her story of the loss of her son and gives listeners a powerful encounter with the heart of a bereaved mother. Yet this audiobook is much more than a memoir.
Masterfully combining story and research, Brianne accompanies listeners through the painful wilderness of their own grief journey. Both academic and anecdotal, each chapter addresses the hard questions faced in grief.
For those who are grieving, this audiobook is a companion in the dark night. To those who want to support a loved one who is grieving, this audiobook offers you a window of understanding and an opportunity to grow in your capacity to accompany your loved one in their grief.

Deeply grateful for this book
This book found me and I am deeply grateful. Four years into my life of grief from the traumatic death of my 23 year old son, Levi, Brianne Edwards speaks to the truths of my grief path. No platitudes. No fixing. Just truth and honesty.
Our culture avoids speaking of and living in grief yet it is a large part of being human. We will all live with grief at some point in our lives because we love. And it is good and important to allow ourselves to just be, be in the depths of grief.
Brianne does just that. She takes us to the depths of her grief with openness, honesty, wisdom, and hope.
Thank you Brianne for not trying to fix grief. Yes and yes and yes to all that you have written.
