Publisher's Summary

War correspondent Jennie King thinks she's just a temporary guest in her grandmother's Amish community while she recuperates from the devastating injuries sustained in a car-bomb attack that changed her world. But when she meets Matthew Bontrager, the man she had a crush on as a teenager, she wonders if God has a new plan for her. Jennie has emotional and physical scars, and though she feels she has come home to this man and this place, she's not sure she can bridge the difference between their worlds.

Amish love story

Typical Amish love story (with a little twist). Story seemed too rushed and skipped over some things but had fillers in others. Narrating could be improved. Main character and children were OK but everyone else sounded like an old person, which they were not. A bit irritating.

A time to love

I don't like giving books 1 star this story is good if you're just looking for fiction. But this Author obviously doesn't know anything about Amish. Most Amish are not praying specifically, they are only thought to recite remembered prayer. They don't talk about their faith or their beliefs it's as secret as their passion. Coming across as if they're Christians, they're very religious but being a Christian or being religious is very different. it's a good clean read just not accurate.
