Miranda and Nico must solve the mystery of the boy’s death while keeping one step ahead of the hangman.

Have to Agree with Others
As others have noted, the reader for this particular installment is not great. The two prvcious books and first novella in this series were done quite well, but the main love interest has a French accent that is done so poorly it's a bit uncomfortable to listen to.
I really enjoyed the previous installments of this series and found them to be quite gripping. I averaged a book a day because I found them interesting and captivating. This book really does have less of a plot, I'm really not at all invested in the main characters, and it's weirdly centered around a sexual relationship that just kind of happens out of nowhere without doing anything to get readers rooting for them.
I typically like how this author sprinkles in the romantic scenes but the way she writes them doesn't really work as well when they are such a primary focus. For context, I listened to this on a 20 minute commute and for the entire duration of my drive we were still on the same romantic, but weirdly non-descriptive encounter.
will I finish the series? Probably, but I'm also just someone who needs to finish a series, and I really enjoyed the first books so I'm hoping the fourth book is better.

Enjoyable
The story was okay but the!
performance was so poor!
I struggled at times to just continue listening to her voices. I pray she does not do anymore reading for

Fun and enjoyable but…

Enjoyable listening
A beautiful tale of times passed. A different adventure moves from one century to another giving insight to each time period. The Heroine brings a daring soul through time and into amazing adventures, inthralled in daring and exciting moments. A must read book.

Waste
This book was horrible. I usually love Kelley's novels. The first 2 in this series were wonderful. This one was almost impossible to finish. Too much sex and a dull storyline.

Love this author. But not this book!
I love this author. I have read most of her books. I am not sure what happened here. I read the other two books in the series, and I enjoyed them very much. I was looking forward to this one. however, I was terribly disappointed. I could not give this book a lower rating because of the author. I enjoy her work too much.
