About this listen

The magical world of Davrar is inhospitable and strange. Terrible monsters roam, ancient dungeons lurk over every hill, and the prophesied Endings promise doom.

But it's Nathan Lark's new home. He's developed his antimagic and found friends in the most powerful Adventurers of his generation. They've sworn an oath to defend the city of Gemore and defeat the Endings.

On the horizon is the enslaving mage-empire of Giantsrest, and Archmage Taeol dho Droxol hasn't forgotten that Nathan holds secrets of Earth. Conflict is certain.

There is only one path forward. Nathan and his friends must advance.

Now I want more!

It was a good book. It was not as great as the first one. There was some stretching of the story. Filling that was not so useful and sometimes repetitive. Beside that, I did like the book anyway. I like the universe and some of the characters. I think the author is keeping his best ideas for later. The last chapters were great so now I want more.

A great continuation of the story! I cannot wait for the 3rd book in this series. Maybe one day there be an order of the Larks

A great tale!

I absolutely loved the progression in this book! What a great balance between power and vulnerability! Well written, well read. Thanks all.

Good pacing, characters and dialogue

Litrpg is usually plagued with bad dialogue and character behaviours. Usually because the author takes a bland shortcut for some story arc. None of that here. It's really well done. The action pacing is really good too. We all know that the main character is always going to be fine in these types of books, yet he's managed to introduce tension in his action scenes.
