Publisher's Summary

He’s a grumpy single dad. She’s the one who got away. They haven’t seen one another in years, and now they’re stuck in a hotel room together. And there’s only one bed.

I’ve loved her from the first moment I saw her.
And I’ve loved her every day since.
Whether we’re together or we’re apart—that hasn’t changed.
Which is saying a lot considering I don’t like most people.
But life has thrown us a slew of curveballs and we went our separate ways.
Life, family, jealousy—we let it all get in the way.
I’m a dad now, and my little girl is my world.
And after years apart, Presley is back in Cottonwood Cove.
I don’t believe in fairytales or second chances.
My heart belongs to my daughter now, and there is no room for complications.
Presley Duncan is a giant complication.
A wise man would keep his distance.
But I never claimed to be a wise man.
So maybe we end up in a car together in the middle of a snowstorm.
Which leads to a hotel room with only one bed.
Maybe I should reconsider my stance on fairytales and second chances.
And seeing Presley with my little girl does something to me.
Stirs something inside of me that I thought was long gone.
But I know this is temporary.
She’ll be leaving soon, and I’m prepared to let her go.
Until she’s gone.
And I realize that I’m not prepared at all for life after the storm.

Love love love Presley and Cage!

I am so sad that this is the end of the Cottonwood Cove series! All the Reynold's siblings have such a special place in my heart and Cage is no exception to that. The surly, grumpy man that we got to know throughout his sibling's books was so much more than I could have asked for. When Presley comes back into town and they run into each other, you can feel the immediate sparks. The chemistry and love between these two never died, it was just circumstances, poor timing, a few bad choices and some miscommunication that kept them apart. Watching the two of them fall in love again was so so special and it made my heart sing. Presley was amazing with Cage's daughter, and the two of them formed the most special bond that brought tears to my eyes. I loved how we got Cage and Presley's backstory, but also how it wasn't dwelled on, they discussed what they needed to and then focused on the here and now. Gracie was so sweet in her aunt and uncle's stories, but she truly stole the show in her daddy's! That girl is one of my favorite children I have ever read. And as always, the bond between the Reynolds siblings was amazing. Their group text chain is one I would love to be a part of, it had me laughing out loud.
The narration from Emma Wilder and Jacob Morgan was absolutely amazing. They were the perfect Presley and Cage. Their performances evoked so much emotion and brought all the feels that Laura's words provoked.

Swoon Worthy 😍

I was so excited to read the last book in the series. I am going to have a book hangover for a long while. Laura Pavlov knocked it out for the park!!! ⭐️
