Enter the Evil Goblin Dungeon

"Rise of Mankind: Book 2" takes the excitement and creativity of the series to new heights, delivering a thrilling continuation that will delight fans, particularly with the introduction of the Evil Goblin Dungeon. This installment builds on the strengths of the first book while adding fresh elements that make the story even more engaging.

Evil Goblin Dungeon: The introduction of the Evil Goblin Dungeon is a game-changer for the series. This setting is not only vividly described but also filled with danger, mystery, and high stakes. The dungeon's intricate design, challenging traps, and formidable goblin adversaries make it a standout feature of the book. It provides a dark, immersive environment that significantly ups the ante for the characters.

Intense Action and Battles: The action scenes continue to be a major highlight. The battles within the Evil Goblin Dungeon are particularly intense, requiring the characters to employ strategy, teamwork, and quick thinking. These encounters are thrilling and well-paced, keeping readers on the edge of their seats.

Enhanced World-Building: The second book expands on the world introduced in Book 1, adding more depth and complexity. The Evil Goblin Dungeon is just one example of how the author continues to enrich the setting with new and intriguing locations. This expansion adds to the overall richness of the story and keeps the narrative fresh and exciting.

Character Growth: Book 2 sees significant development in the characters as they face new challenges and dangers. The interactions within the team and their individual growth add layers to the story, making readers more invested in their journey.

Areas for Improvement:

Villain Depth: The goblins and their evil lair are formidable, but more background on their motivations and origins could add even more depth to the antagonists. Understanding the villains better would enrich the conflict and make the stakes feel higher.

Quite a good transition from the first book!

The Author definitely knows his stuff regarding games. What I like is there’s not too much quoting of strength, mana etc. when it is listed it’s fast. There’s a lot of attention to strategy which makes the book very engaging. Another plus is the attention to characters. It’s very well done. I especially love his annoying neighbours. Wondering if the author has actually experienced something like that! Now to the narrator, he’s perfect for this book. His voice and ability to change it to reflect many Characters is superb. Of course he can’t perfectly annunciate female characters pitch, however he does a good job of making the females believable. About the cat complaint from a reviewer..get over it. The book has spider like creatures, I hate spiders! He does do a fantastic job of a cat’s character, I wondered if he had met my cat! Bottom line, a refreshing read.

Litrpg

Like most littpg the series looses a bit of steam after the first book. Still the series is good and the narrator is great. My only real gripe is the sex scenes and sexual innuendo. It’s too much and just gets more frequent in the next book in the series.

worth a listen if you really like dungeons

I almost paused listening to this one for another audiobook I'd been waiting for. But I knew if I stopped I probably would not have resumed. However, I did not want to use my credit so i pushed on and the storyline/plot got better and I'm glad I finished. That being said; good not great.. no more, no less.
