About this listen

The rising wave of the undead has been stilled, the Lich Lord Daedalus defeated, and the dungeon is safe . . . for now.

Now comes a time of growth, of calm and restructuring as the dungeon upgrades and the new alliances settle . . . but not all is peace and love.

The gangs are rising, the asuras spread, and the dead never truly rest . . .

The Age of Steel has begun . . .

Hammer Time

"Rise of Mankind: Book 4" continues to deliver the thrilling and immersive experience fans of the series have come to expect. With unexpected developments, intense battles, and intriguing connections to a larger universe, this installment keeps the momentum going, though not without one minor drawback-which is just my personal choice (so don't hold it against the story).

New Developments: Book 4 introduces some surprising new plot twists and developments that add fresh excitement to the story. These unexpected elements keep the narrative dynamic and prevent it from becoming predictable, ensuring that readers remain fully engaged.

World-Building and Universe Connections: One of the most intriguing aspects of this book is the way it ties the story into a larger universe. These connections add depth and complexity to the narrative, hinting at a grander scale and broader implications for the characters and their journey. This broader scope enhances the richness of the world-building and opens up exciting possibilities for future installments.

Action and Battles: As with previous books, the action scenes are a major highlight. The author excels at crafting intense and vivid battle sequences that are both thrilling and strategic. These moments of high-octane action are some of the most enjoyable parts of the book, showcasing the author's talent for pacing and excitement.

What was it, that I didn't like? The end: While the climactic confrontation with the main antagonist is well-executed, it lacks the impact of previous villains. The big badie at the end is "okay," but doesn't quite live up to the high stakes and tension built up throughout the story. This may leave some readers feeling slightly underwhelmed by the resolution.

Overall, "Rise of Mankind: Book 4" is an enjoyable addition to the series, maintaining the high standards of action and world-building that have made it popular. The unexpected plot developments and connections to a larger universe keep the story fresh and engaging, even if the final antagonist doesn't quite hit the mark. Despite missing the evil dungeon from earlier books, the amazing battles and overall great story ensure that fans will remain eager for the next chapter in this thrilling LitRPG saga.

This book is phenomenal

If you have made it this far into the series and are questioning whether you should continue or not I highly recommend you continue as this book is quite remarkable. I rarely have an issue while waiting for the next book in any series but in this case I’m at a bit of a loss here, this book was so well done and the ending is a masterpiece that I genuinely feel a loss that I have to wait for the next book in the series. If you are new to this series give it a chance and try it out, you will not be disappointed

Also I want to add something on the low star reviews left by other listeners over on the American side of audible, I suggest you ignore the negative comments like raging man child or a MC who takes advantage of his people etc etc, if those people had actually listened to this series they would clearly recognize that their comments are not supported by the plot in anyway shape or form, I believe it’s your typical SJW’s and so on who are leaving bad reviews, if you happen to be one of those people reading this then I hope this review makes your day.

Love the story!!

This is a great story line that mixes action and well flushed out characters with the story mechanics of a table top game. The narrator is also very engaging and has a great speaking range.
