USA Today and Washington Post best seller
The gods have been proven mortal and new heroes will arise as the battle continues in the sequel to Age of Myth—from the author of the Riyria Revelations and Riyria Chronicles series.
In Age of Myth, fantasy master Michael J. Sullivan launched audiences on an epic journey of magic and adventure, heroism and betrayal, love and loss. Now the thrilling saga continues as the human uprising is threatened by powerful enemies from without—and bitter rivalries from within.
Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but long-standing enmities dividing the Rhunes make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods?
The answer lies across the sea in a faraway land populated by a reclusive and dour race who feel nothing but disdain for both Fhrey and mankind. With time running out, Persephone leads the gifted young seer Suri, the Fhrey sorceress Arion, and a small band of misfits in a desperate search for aid—a quest that will take them into the darkest depths of Elan. There, an ancient adversary waits, as fearsome as it is deadly.

Great series so far!
Book 2 is building some better momentum; things are really starting to happen now. I like that there's a hidden story/mystery to keep you guessing while you follow along with the main story. I also like that you get the story from the two opposite sides; I cant wait until they meet up! The characters are really growing and becoming who they're supposed to be now. I'm buying book 3 right away! #Audible1

Very good as Usual
90% female heroes which is rare and I havent decided if its good yet.
Regardless, a very good story and loved the little tells from my favorite heroes Royce and Hadrien.
(whirls on my left heel and walkes away).

I love it
I dont think I have ever read a book by a male author with such well crafted femal characters. This and book one have been my first Introduction to Michael J. Sullivan's work and I am loving it so far. Every character is so well fleshed out. The women especially shine in this second book and but I am still enjoying the men as well. I have high Hope's for book three.

suri is an intriguing lass
I enjoyed listening to this book. it makes me almost want to get it out of the library and just read it for myself. I know there are things I missed just listening. as there is nothing inappropriate in this book it is one that I would love to have my son listen to as well.

Great book!!!
Michael Sullivan has a fantastic imagination. I love his character development. There is always humour in his dialogue with his characters making the story interesting and more believable and natural. They are so not perfect but human. Thanks Michael. And great narrator!!!!

Very good story with nice historical breakthroughs!
Thought at some points characters are too wavering and unsure of themselves to a frustrating point, the story and pace are really good and entertaining! The anticipation is there and the flow of discoveries.
