About this listen

On a day when Casey Stone, a New York City private investigator, was worrying about his unpaid bar tab at Pat's Bar and Grill, a long-legged, blonde beauty named Rosemary Kelly walked into his office and handed him $2,000 to find the baby girl she gave up for adoption 16 years ago. Apparently the child's father, who abandoned Rosemary when he found out she was pregnant, felt remorse for his actions and secretly established a trust fund for their child, which now exceeded one million dollars. The trust was activated when he died recently.

Finding the baby girl is complicated by The Home, the place where Rosemary gave birth. Casey finds that The Home was anything but a safe haven for young girls and their babies, and getting any information is going to be a problem. If Rosemary's daughter cannot be located within 30 days, the trust her father set up for her will go to his younger brother, Joey. Joey Catalano isn't a nice guy. He is a minor player in the local mob, but he's ruthless and very dangerous. Casey realizes that he has to find Rosemary's daughter before Joey kills her.
