Given that this is based on a children’s story, the author has done a great job of turning it into a story of terror, grief, and self discovery.

Have always loved Lewis carrols Alice in Wonderland, read the books several times a year. Decided to try this adaptation and it blew me away! It is its own story but follows the original story’s concept so it all feels familiar throughout. Most definitely recommend to any fans of Alice in wonderland.

A wonderfully twisted reimagining that takes something familiar and drags it somewhere much darker. Henry doesn't simply retell Alice in Wonderland—she takes the underlying ideas and rebuilds them into something brutal, strange, and surprisingly compelling. It's creepy without losing its sense of adventure.

A dark version of Alice in Wonderland. Except the Old City sounds nothing short of a nightmare. Really enjoyed the story. Fantastic narration.

The voice actors “voices” were grating to listen to. So, the story itself was fine, I guess. The voice actor or whatever you call the lady reading it was . . Difficult. At one point in the story it’s basically like having your grandma talk dirty to you. No shade if thats your thing but it just wasn’t it for me.

This was hard to listen to.
