Publisher's Summary
While a moon hurtles toward certain destruction, taking with it a Weyland-Yutani bioweapons lab, talks on a nearby colony could lead to all-out war among the colonies.
Hygeia, an outer rim colony, is doomed as the moon on which it was built hurtles toward an inevitable collision with the dead planet Hephaestus. When a distress signal arrives from a Weyland-Yutani biowarfare outpost near the colony, a desperate plan is launched to evacuate the trapped scientists and colonists. Their destination: LV-846, a key United Americas colony where high-level talks are scheduled to address the galaxy-wide hostilities between the colonies. Once there, the evacuees, including a contingent of Colonial Marines, discover a plot that could plunge the colonies into all-out war. Their only hope may be an alliance with the deadliest ally imaginable.

Story
Ataegina was an isolated world of medieval castles, varied cultures, and conquests, vibrant until the demons rose and spread relentless destruction. Swarms of lethal creatures with black husks, murderous claws, barbed tails, and dreaded “tooth-tongues” raged through the lowlands, killing 90 percent of the planet’s population. Terrified survivors fled to hidden mountain keeps where they eke out a meager existence. When a trio of young warriors discovers a new weapon, they see a chance to end this curse. To save humanity, they must fight.

Story
Even before the doomed mission to Hadley’s Hope on LV-426, Jenette Vasquez had to fight to survive. Born to an immigrant family with a long military tradition, she looked up to the stars, but life pulled her back down to Earth—first into a street gang, then prison. The Colonial Marines proved to be Vasquez’s way out—a way that forced her to give up her twin children. Raised by Jenette’s sister, those children, Leticia and Ramon, had to discover their own ways to survive.

Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. Story
The planet LV-363 teems with exotic life, including a plant growing in the shadows of its deep rifts. The plant’s flower yields a valuable narcotic, and people are forced by the cartels to harvest it. When a Yautja (Predator) ship arrives for a hunting ritual, the Predators seed the rifts with Xenomorph eggs. The aliens emerge and the result is bizarre and deadly hybrids, with humans trapped between the Predators and their prey. These deadly Xenomorph hybrids—some of which possess the ability to fly—swarm out of control and may prove more than the Yautja or the humans can defeat.

wey-yu up to their usual chicanery
always love a story about corporations run amok, hopefully one of these days the actual governments do something about them, I'd love a corporation-government war arc

dull
I don't find this narrator matches this type of story, especially after just listening to The Cold Forge. I've got 2 hours left and I couldn't really tell you what's happened at all. Boring. Glad I didn't pay.

Cinematic Gore
Author Mary SanGiovanni clearly understands the action-horror assignment. Her description of Space Marines clearing an overrun Weyland-Yutani bioweapons research facility is like something out of the 'Doom' and 'Half-life' video games of the 90s (recently perfected in 'Metroid Fusion' and 'Fallout'). Images of dismembered bodies, smeared bloody handprints revealing resisted abduction to xenomorph birthing chambers, and bodies exploded by chest-bursters will have you shivering.
Less fortunately, the plot is kind of silly, the action is overscripted, and the dialogue is direct from a Hollywood screenplay. I have read better.
Likewise a little bit disappointing: Shiromi Arserio turns in some over-the-top dramatics in her delivery and Blackstone Publishing sound engineers struggle to soften her natural sibilance (stick to your device or car speakers for this one. Earbuds are a tough one unless you can turn down the treble on your equalizer). The presentation is solidly "average".
Altogether, I judge 'Alien: Enemy Of My Enemy' worthy of 8.5 stars out of 10. You do need to suspend some disbelief to fully enjoy it, but it was in the 'Plus' catalog when I found it - it's easily worth the time investment for free. If they ask for a Credit, however, this recording likely still merits it.. but other 'Alien' titles available on Audible are better.
