movie adaptation
okay, but rather Hollywood. Makes me want to go find the original material
the writing style made me picture movie scenes. probably because it is a movie adaptation

Good Adaptation
This movie deserved a sequel. Solid performance by Brian Nishii. Read the manga, it's even better. Would love to read more books in this world.

Definitely not for adults
Everything about this book was made for teenagers. The performance was subpar and while there was the potential of an interesting story it was poorly crafted and presented.

Ended horribly
<slight spoiler> I know it’s probably positioned to be a trilogy but you need at least a small win at the end of each part of a trilogy. She didn’t even break even; just a loss and the story is done!. I kept wondering how she would beat the bad guy and win but then it just ended!
Also, the narrator was difficult to listen to.
