a narration for the ages! a story for everyone

My favourite narrator besides Grover Gardner!
I couldn't stop listening to this beautiful book. The touching story of Klein's struggles in WW2 and her triumph of surviving is inspiring.

Tear jerker!

How could it have happened? The forces of evil are powerful but God is all powerful. My heart was touched with Gerdas tremendous resilience and in spite of all odds she never lost faith. What a beautiful blessing she received to come to marry such a wonderful husband! You were so kind! May God bless you all!

All I can say is thank you....

Thank you Gerda for sharing your story in all it’s entirety. It still is hard to believe that certain human beings can treat other human beings in such a demeaning and horrific manner. In this case, life triumphs over pure evil. By telling your story, the world remembers....

All. It My Life

The noise and talking in the background was distracting and annoying, but still well worth listening to.

Everyone must read this book (or listen to it)

This has to be one of the best books I've "read". Weissmann Klein is a beautiful writer and the story was compelling. I was amazed at how long everything went on, and how the WK and others create a new normal at each stage of the war, clinging to hope, finding joy in the smallest of things. This should be required reading in all schools.

AUTHENTIC AND COMPELLING

This autobiographical account of Gerda Weissmann’s survival in war-torn Europe is gripping, authentic and compelling. She speaks for countless others who suffered and died without a trace.
