Publisher's Summary

Fifteen years ago, Robert Fulghum published a simple credo that became the phenomenal #1 New York Times best seller All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. Now, seven million copies later, Fulghum returns to the book that was embraced around the world. He has written a new preface and twenty-five essays, which add even more potency to a common piece of wisdom: the most basic concepts of life bear its most important opportunities.

Here Fulghum engages us with musings on life, death, love, pain, joy, sorrow and the best chicken-fried steak in the continental USA. The love story of Jean-Francois Pilatre and his hot air balloon reminds us to be unafraid to "fly"...life lessons hidden in the laundry pile...magical qualities found in a box of crayons. All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten is brimming with the very stuff of life and the significance found in the smallest details.

In the years that have passed since the first publication of this book, Robert Fulghum has had some time to ponder, to reevaluate and to reconsider. Here are those fresh thoughts on classic topics, right alongside the wonderful new essays. Perhaps in today's more challenging world, these essays on life will resonate more deeply as listeners discover how universal insights can be found in ordinary events.

Life lessons

This title was very easy to listen too. I read the original years ago. It was fun to revisit it again.

Love This

I did the musical to this show in high school. While I am sad that some stories from the show were not added to this rendition it was so cool to hear the stories that were and ones I never heard before.

This amazing story only got BETTER!

I remember reading this book when it originally came out. After I finished it, I bought the book on cassette, to listen to in my car for long trips.
In this 15th anniversary edition, some things have been added that where originally not included. it makes it all the better to have the authors afterthoughts added these many years later. I love it.

Loved this book!

I love the writing. The clever and meaningful correlation between simple concepts and complex concepts, and the humour with which she delivers it. I found it, especially enjoyable to listen to it read by the voice of the author. The sincerity and emotion in his voice made me feel like we were having a conversation and he was sharing stories with me. I really appreciate the range of perspectives he presents. While I expected to learn some wisdom from this book, but I didn’t expect to enjoy the process as much as I did. Highly recommended!
