Publisher's Summary

Do you eat when you're not hungry? Or when you're angry and upset? Do you eat to control your feelings?

Allen Carr's Easyway is the most successful self-help stop-smoking method of all time. It has helped millions of smokers all over the world to quit and has since been used to treat other addictions such as drinking and gambling. Allen Carr's Easyway method works by unravelling the brainwashing that leads us to desire the very thing that is harming us, meaning that we are freed from the addiction rather than merely restricting our behaviour.

The Easyway method has now been applied to the problem of emotional eating. With Allen Carr's Easyway method, you can eat as much of your favourite foods as you want, whenever you want, as often as you want and be the exact weight you want to be, without dieting, special exercise, using willpower or feeling deprived.

Do you find that difficult to believe? Listen to this audiobook.

It worked.

I love Allen.Carr. He helped me quit smoking. He helped me get my health back! And now I’m going to read his book on digital addiction.

I keep waiting...

I find this frustrating. This has not helped at all. I keep waiting for these real instructions and cues for mindset change, or solutions. I'm almost finished and I actually feel worse and more lost.

Terribly tedious

The book was nothing but terrible. She talked so much and said so little I do not recommend.

Completely out-of-touch with stress-eaters

This book will not help you if you use food to cope with stress. It claims there is no pleasure in emotional eating, which is just not true. This books focuses on people who have been brainwashed into bad eating habits, but does nothing to address the real reason people binge eat, which is to relive stress.

outdated information for disordered eating

I have read the easy way to quit smoking & quit drinking and I found them hugely beneficial and completely effective for me to quit. I was surprised when all the concepts from the easy way to stop drinking were exactly the same for this book, with the wording changed to make it applicable to food.

I struggle with overeating and have been dieting for years. I wanted to end my obsession and lack of control with unhealthy food. For years I have restricted what I ate, then binged on bad foods later. I disagree with this books philosophy of completely abstaining and avoiding all bad foods (candy chocolate, chips, crackers, etc) and also starchy carbs. If you look at more recent research and information around intuitive eating, this type of complete restriction may not be the most healthy approach for everyone. I do still enjoy certain types of food that would be considered "unhealthy" but I think a more balanced approach to diet and exercise is healthier for your mind & body overall! I personally find if I mindfully allow myself to have that food when I crave it, I can eat one cookie instead of the whole box.
