R.C. Bray could make...
IKEA furniture instructions exciting. overall, a fun story, but a lot of the characters were pretty typical of the genre, and a little unoriginal.
I'll buy the second book.

A fun sci-fi story
A fun story with a good set of characters which is well read by the narrator. Not a fan of multi book series but I might have to read the next book if just to see what happens next.

Loving the Sector 64 series and can’t wait for more
Dean’s Sector 64 brings a new twist to the world of UFOs as we know it. This book kept me engaged and entertained - I’m glad I waited for the RC Bray narrated version as well. He does a great job and I am looking forward to the next chapter.

It's okay..
Story has a very interesting premise, but I have problems with the realism of it all. Most characters are supposed to be hotshot pilots, but often don't seem to be any steelier than a girl guide. Also, it's extremely silly that these badass fighter pilots would think it makes sense to board an advanced alien ship, armed only with standard police firearms...do special forces not exist in this world?
RC Bray is great as always. Too bad the story doesn't match the performance quality.

Sardonically sardonic
The story was good, narrator awesome (as usual)
I enjoyed this book...here's the catch...sort of. There were a couple of things that annoyed me about it.
1. He said sardonically, he thought sardonically, he said with a sardonic smile. I am 52 years old and I'm pretty sure that if you added up all the "sardonics" from the thousands of books I've read (listened to), it would not equal how many times this word was used in this book.
2. Women are portrayed as being teary eyed, overly emotional and dramatic . Being a woman I kept rolling my eyes and muttering sardonically "Oh Puhleeeze"
Storyline excellent and if you can get past all the sardonics and twitty twits, it's a light listen.

Flat performance and Americans saving the planet Oh my.
Even the narrator known for his enthusiasm can’t save this one. Listening to the first 30 chapters was a slog waiting for cliches to slowly evolve and manifest as character development. A b rated summer blockbuster wannabe.
