À propos de cet audio
When a strange child follows her home on the train from London, Ella Bridges feels bound to help her. However, she soon discovers the child is not what she seems.
Having recently moved into a large home on Linhay Island, affectionately known locally as the Yellow Cottage, Ella finds herself at the center of a murder investigation thanks to a special gift from the previous house owner.
Along with her unusual sidekick, a former cottage resident, Ella follows clues that take her to the heart of London. As the mystery unravels, she is forced to enter the lion's den to solve the crime and stop the perpetrator.
But can she do it before she becomes the next victim?

very short, but enjoyable
Unlike so many, I am a sucker for cozy mysteries that are short and get to the point. A mini intro, a murder is discovered, a sleuth or sleuths investigate with or without the police, get in a pickle when the murderer tries to kill them and voila, case is solved and everything wrapped up. I am even more of a sucker for cozy British mysteries. The cozy mysteries I like don't try to give me unnecessary details, like page after page of overly elaborate descriptions of a coffee shop, bakery, bookstore or the characters' back story to drive word count. Just give me what I need to know to solve the mystery and I'm good. So, for that, I enjoyed this cozy novella.
This book was 2.5 hours long so if you are looking for a long drawn-out mystery with elaborate details, you won't get it from this book.
I guess because I like my cozy mysteries to revolve around the mysteries, I didn't care that it sounded like the MC was older when in fact she was in her 20s. However, though the current narrator did a great job, I think a younger-sounding narrator to portray her youth would have been a better choice.
What I didn't like were things left unexplained. Like, why the ghost girl didn't speak, why she didn't enter the home when Ginny arrived at the cottage with the MC, why she had the wallet, how Phantom knew to show up at her brother's house and decerned right away that the guy wasn't a good person and where the kids were at the orphanage.
Quick listen and to the point.
