Unexpected backstory
Such an unexpected turn of events. The mystery keeps you on your toes as to what this elderly lady, Maude is up to. The backstory was unexpected and helps paint a picture of what drives Maude to do what she does and has done. Really good read with such a spinkle of suspense.

Lots of fun :-)
this collection of short stories turned out to be very different from what I expected. That is a good thing; it's a fun book, with a protagonist you just can't help rooting for.
