About this listen

Lady Georgina Hawthorne has worked tirelessly to seal her place as the Incomparable for her debut season. At her first London ball, she hopes to snag the attention of an earl.

With money and business connections, but without impeccable bloodlines, Colin McCrae is invited everywhere but accepted nowhere. When he first encounters the fashionable Lady Georgina, he's irritated by his attraction to a woman who concerns herself only with status and appearance.

What Colin doesn't know is that Georgina's desperate social aspirations are driven by the shameful secret she harbors. Association with Colin McCrae is not part of Georgina's plan, but as their paths continue to cross, they both must decide if the realization of their dreams is worth the sacrifices they must make.

I did not find the Nara too that bad, but the long. Drawn out. Ending was not sweet.

Awful! The reader will drive you insane!

Her enunciation of every syllable as well as being SIGNIFICANTLY older than the reader of the first book, resulting in every character sounding ancient will make you scream.

I loved the first book. So much I bought this one without listening to a sample. It was sassy and fresh and fun. After listening to the first one, I’m hours in and it’s all information I got from the first book, but from the perspective of a younger sister. I’m asking for a refund. Like right now. I don’t even care how it ends for them, a rare thing for me. But she comes across so shallow and the hero so bland and dislikeable, not to mention the man she really wants is from the previous book and plays a huge role and his vioce is different. He sounds like he’s aged 60 years!!!! It’s like trading out Ryan Reynolds for Sean Connery.

Solid pass.

New Narrator needed

I been working to get through this book for so long. It’s a decent story, but the lady narrating was so stilted, clipped and slow.

Don't even bother starting this book

I truly dislike this book, Georgina is so selfish and shallow, and if her reasoning for acting so is because her ears are slightly uneven, it's just ridiculous and uncalled for. I cannot even get myself to finish this book because of the aforementioned reason, as well as the fact the book is simply going over what happened in the previous book, but from Georgina's perspective.
