About this listen
From Fr. Gabriele Amorth, the renowned exorcist in Rome, comes this powerful, eye-opening book on the deadly antics of Satan and his fallen angels, as well as spiritual remedies for each.
This book provides a basic orientation in the dark phenomenology, succinctly explaining Catholic doctrine on the fallen angels and the innumerable manifestations.
The many questions Fr. Amorth answers in this book include:
- Where does the Evil One dwell in the human body?
- How does the Devil appear and what does he look like?
- What are the powers that comes from Satan?
- Do the sins of ancestors influence our life?
- How are spiritual evils contracted?
- What is the state of souls in purgatory?
- What is the role of sacramentals in fighting off temptation?
- When should exorcisms and prayers of healing be performed?
- What happens during an exorcism?
- What you should do when a family is being attacked by a demon?

Story
When Father Gabriele Amorth died in 2016, he was the world's most famous exorcist, a legendary, miraculous chaser of demons. To the many he served, Father was a godsend, freeing them from years of demonic oppression; to others, he was just a crank an extremist priest who saw the Devil everywhere. In these never-before-published interviews, Father Amorth takes you into his private world, giving you a harrowing vision of his daily battles with the Devil. You'll encounter a solid Christian and a humble priest, one who jokes and takes life as God—or the Devil!—hands it to him.

Story
Successful New York psychiatrist Richard Gallagher was skeptical yet intrigued when a hard-nosed, no-nonsense Catholic priest asked him to examine a woman for a possible exorcism. Meeting her, Gallagher was astonished. The woman’s behavior defied logic. This remarkable case was the first of many that Gallagher would encounter. Sought after today by leaders of all faiths—ministers, priests, rabbis and imams, Gallagher has spent a quarter-century studying demonic activity and exorcisms throughout history and has witnessed more cases than any other psychiatrist in the world today.

Do all you do with awareness of Gods Love, Great message
Definitely Catholic belief system. Not fully my own in regards to gifts/abilities all being demonic or from Satan. As I know where mine along with many others come from. Very informative and written with love. God Bless all... alive, dead or otherwise. My prayers are with you.

Why ruin a good book with an affected narration?
This is a good summation of the Catholic faith’s traditional teaching regarding the spiritual realm. The narration, however, makes it near intolerable to listen to this solid teaching. Why not just read in a straightforward, conversational tone?
I’ll keep trying, as the subject matter itself is presented clearly and in a captivating manner by the author. I should probably just buy the book and read it myself.

The Real Anecdote to Chaos
Repent and believe is summary of the gospel.
Sed libera nos a malo. But deliver us from evil is a central part of every sacrament. Exorcism is a specific function of how God is revealed in Christ.

Enlightening
I found this book exceptionally informative and helpful in my understanding of the demonic as relayed from the Catholic perspective. The writing was easy to consume and clear in delivery. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to know and understand more about the evil entities that bar our attempts at salvation. I feel very grateful to have the opportunity to engross myself in such an interesting and esoteric writing.
