About this listen
Two farm girls that live in the middle of the forest befriend a mysterious man in a bearskin that guards secret treasures. The resulting fairy tale comes with magic, adventures, pure love, friendly animals, perils and even an angel and an ungrateful dwarf, against the historical and cruel backdrop of war and its evils. Set in the 18th century, this new story is based upon two classic tales from the Brothers Grimm: "Snow White and Rose Red" and "Bearskin". The immersive, full-cast production of "Another Snow White" is like a movie for your ears to be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

Great Purchase!
Audiobooks are a favourite part of my girls’ evening routine. We’ve gone through all of the Disney versions of classic stories which are the ones they enjoy the most so it's hard to find comparable productions. This version of Snow White surprised me because as a production it is very much like a Disney one. I was very impressed. I found it dynamic with all the different characters and sound effects. It’s perfect for kids but very enjoyable for parents too.
As a mother, who is concerned with what her kids are exposed to, I listen to different audiobooks ahead of time to decide if the material is appropriate or not. I like the fact that this version makes emphasis on good character traits and there’s not a great deal of violence or foul language. If listening with small children (6 and younger) it’s good to discuss some of the themes with them. Overall very pleased. I am definitely recommending this audiobook to friends and family.

Excellent Production
A wonderful, fresh take of two all-time favourites, beloved classic tales. This piece is executed exquisitely with amazing attention to detail making the story come alive. The audience is taken on a journey along with the characters and their adventures. The story is written in the classic folk tale style, with beautiful language and engaging narration as the author is able to maintain the characteristic sweetness of the fairy-tale through the innocence of the characters’ motivations and actions. Good values are highlighted in sisterly love, and honouring one’s word. Soto-Falcon does not depart from the Grimms’ belief about the appropriate transmission of culture through historical accuracy and language and stays true to a historical recount of his version of the folk tales. A beautiful story of love laces the overarching plot of the hero’s journey. The cast and their performance, spot-on, especially the Dwarf’s great enactment. If you love classic tales, beautiful writing and enjoy being immersed in the magic of true storytelling in a very well done production, you can’t miss this excellent audiobook!
