Publisher's Summary

The worst thing about the end of the world is we did it to ourselves.

Isaac Thoma lived to see the last handful of survivors defeat the demonic champion. He is now alone, his past in ashes, the last and most powerful human on a blighted Earth. But what if he could go back?

Hurled back in time, Isaac has one chance to change it all. A chance to warn humanity of their impending doom. A chance to stop the [System] before shortsightedness and lust for power can render humanity extinct. Facing malign deities, demonic hordes, and the unstoppable march of human greed, Isaac will give his all to prevent the end that has already happened on the day the world became quantified.

Apocalypse Redux is a pre-apocalyptic LitRPG by Jakob H. Greif (a.k.a. Wilderfast). A total surprise

I went in blind when I picked up "Apocalypse Redux"; as I never heard of the author or the book. However, I am glad that I found this hidden gem, as it was much different from what I was expecting and in the end it was a complete breath of fresh air for this type of genre. First off, yes the the protagonist is a regressor of the apocalypse and this type of of litrpg is almost an old hat by now. Without going into too much detail; I must warn anyone who is interested, that this story will not be like other regressor litrpg gerna. The author does something truly special; by making the characters and story rational and explores the irrationality of people during the end of days. It is a little slow but filled with good amount of character building, action and "the system" gets explored systematically. The narration, done by Daniel Thomas May, was done well and it was actually pretty enjoyable. Totally good production and I cannot wait for book two.

Very Good!!

Very good story and narration. Main character is likeable and the situations make sense. I think this story will only get better and for one that started so well.. I'm looking forward to the rest.

Very Good!

I wasn’t planning on liking this one. The usual regressor apocalypse. BUT, I hadn’t expected the magic system twist. Well, the spawn mechanics. I love it! Very keen to see where this goes.
