A horse breeder by trade, Corbin Jonquil is more at home in the stables than in the ballroom of his sprawling estate. When a mysterious young widow, Mrs. Clara Bentford, moves into the neighborhood, however, Corbin quickly comes to realize that being noticed has its advantages. But how to catch the eye of the lady? All time favourite
I’m actually writing this review before the sixth reading of this same book. It’s a standard that I depend on. Excellent narration, a must. Tight editing. A captured story to light my imagination. And, a clever soul living in thees characters beings, giving them full bodies and nuances. Beings that walked this earth and carried a tune. Relatable dialogue and sensical banter. Thus of course, the sweet heart wrenching ending.

Oh the breathing!
I will update my review when I’m finished.…but had to mention the breathing!! This narrator takes a big breath before every sentence. It’s driving me crazy!!
