About this listen
From the founder of That’s Inappropriate - one of the most popular parenting blogs on the web - comes a hilarious, genuine, and relatable essay collection on the ups and downs of motherhood.
Meredith Masony founded That’s Inappropriate in 2014 as an innocent and humorous way to chronicle her chaotic days as a working mom, child wrangler, and busy wife. It soon evolved into a massive, dynamic community of parents - now nearly three million strong - brought together by their shared belief that parenthood and marriage don’t have to be perfect.
Now, in Ask Me What’s for Dinner One More Time, Meredith shares her collection of witty essays on the universal frustrations of being a mom in today’s world, presenting her laugh-out-loud perspective on sex, aging, anxiety, friendship, and much more. Perfect for fans of Jenny Lawson, Laura Clery, and Jen Mann, these essays provide laughter, relief, validation, and "a metaphorical hug for all of those moments you spend crying on your bathroom floor, thinking that you are failing at the hardest job on the planet".

Lol For Real
This book had me laughing out loud for real! I found the content so very relatable. I laughed when I found that I would have the same thoughts at times. I also laughed when I found stories that I couldn't believe happened but that's motherhood for ya! I appriciated the real and raw stories as well. The waffle story from chapter 9 really reminded me of my own interactions with my oldest son who is only about 1 year older than Brian right now. while my oldest is not on the spectrum, he does have behavioural difficulties such as ODD. Honestly, I have my own difficulties to bring to the table as well. Motherhood is built on relationships. It is challenging, exhausing and amazing at the same time. I often feel like a failiure as a mother. However I can find ways remind myself that there are other moms out there facing similar challenges. Meredith does a great job of reminding me of that in this book. Thanks Meredith Masony for your words and support. I, in turn support you. Lots of Love!

Decent/relatable
The book is relatable but less comical than I was hoping. If your feeling the struggle of parenting this is a light listen to boost your moral.

nope
got to cheaper 2 and called it quits. ask your husband to do something and then curse at him because he is doing it wrong? yikes. just do it yourself then. and, for the record, dishwashers are NOT just for sanitizing unless you have an industrial sized one like they have in restaurants.
