About this listen
Atlantis: The Antediluvian World was published in 1882 by the Minnesotan author Ignatius L. Donnelly. He argues that all known ancient civilizations were descended from this lost land which once existed in the Atlantic Ocean, opposite the Mediterranean Sea. The author claimed that the description of this island given by Plato is not fable, but veritable history.

Saved by the narrator
Pros: if you're looking for a starting point of much of western conspiracy theory and the pseudo-science of the early 20th c. then this is a great source.
Cons: The text itself is full of rancid bigotry and self delusion, religious exclusivism and personal gratification. It commits practically every logical fallacy there is; almost every second sentence is text book flawed argumentation. Rife with illusory correlation due the author's failure to understand that correlation does not imply causation, it's a difficult book to read. However the narrator manages to save the book by inventing funny accents when he reads the referenced sources. Whether intentionally or accidentally, he saves this book and makes it listenable.
