Blanche DuBois, once a well-heeled Southern belle but now alcoholic and destitute, arrives in New Orleans to stay with her sister Stella and her brutish brother-in-law Stanley. And as Stanley terrorizes the fragile Blanche, reality slips slowly away from her.
