  • On February 4, 2025, the Missouri State Senate Education Committee met and discussed SB 49 and SB 118. The same measures would force all Missouri public school districts to vote on whether to adopt a chaplain policy by March 1, 2026 and would permit public school districts to hire or accept volunteer school chaplains.

    The legislation was opposed by Minister of Satan Virgil Ovid, a member of TST's Missouri congregation, and Dr. Gwyneth Woodhouse, a Missouri parent and member of The Satanic Temple.
